Have you ever wondered what it's like to intern at a wine shop? In fact, interning at a Black and Woman-owned wine shop in the Alamance County? Well, here is your chance! If you want to begin your wine palate journey or want to learn more about the wine industry, what better way to do so than to intern at a wine shop! This will be an unpaid internship, but with great experience. If you are pleased with your experience at Palatini's Wine Shop, there may be an opportunity for a part-time paid position in the near future. Here is what we are looking for and your key duties as a Palatini's Wine Shop intern:

Our sales internship is a hands-on introduction to a career in sales, the chance to explore the wine industry and an opportunity to work directly with our amazing customers. You will learn and develop your selling skills and knowledge of the industry. You will also have the opportunity to watch and experience what it's like to choose different wines that we sell to our customers. Along with job development, the program is comprised of exciting weekly meetings and networking events we are invited to.

Previous experience in sales roles, restaurants, acting as a leader in a student organization or having been a student athlete can make you a great candidate for this role. • Internship will be part-time and ranging from early October – the beginning of May of 2022

• Located in Graham, NC


• Support in-store tastings

• Achieve sales objectives

• Build and maintain relationships

• Actively sell current and new products

• Help plan social media content for our social media accounts

• Merchandise shelves with strategic shelf placement

• Maintain up-to-date awareness of company activities, industry trends and government regulations

Competencies and Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Business, Communications or related field

• Must have completed junior year before the start of the program

• Must be at least 21-years-old

• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug test

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Independent worker

• Exceptional customer service skills

• Prior sales experience preferred

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

• Must provide own transportation
